Light Slips Through the Bars
The silence in this cell is so heavy it feels like the only thing that exists. You wonder if the world outside has forgotten your name, if the people who loved you have finally stopped looking.
But there is a voice that speaks into the deepest lockup: 'I will come to him and eat with him, and he with me.' The light does not wait for the gate to open. It slips through the bars.
It sits on the edge of your bunk. It is not afraid of the dark, and it is certainly not afraid of you.
You are not forgotten. You are being kept.
