The Light Waits in the Silence
The screen lights up, then fades to black. Again.
And again. You are waiting for a name that will not appear tonight.
The silence is loud enough to break you. But listen — the light does not speak in notifications.
It does not depend on a reply to exist. You are staring at a glass mirror, hoping for a sign, while the true light waits quietly in the room with you.
It was there before you unlocked the phone. It is there now, in the heavy air of 4am.
You are not abandoned because the message didn't come. You are held in a silence deeper than any text could reach.
The dawn is coming, whether you see it or not.
