The Light Does Not Keep Score
The afternoon sun is heavy, and so is the quiet fear that your exhaustion is a burden to the ones who love you. You look at their faces and wonder if your weariness is too much weight for them to carry.
But the light does not keep a ledger of costs. It does not calculate whether you are worth the effort of holding.
There was a moment when the light stood at a door and asked only one thing: to be let in, not to fix anything, but to eat a meal together. The invitation was not based on your energy level or your ability to perform.
It was based on presence. The light is not tired of you.
It is not waiting for you to snap out of it so it can love you again. You are not a project to be managed.
You are a friend to be known. The very thing you think is pushing them away — your raw, unpolished fatigue — is the exact place where the light chooses to sit down with you.
