The Love That Waits While You Break
The screen lights up on the table, and before you even read the name, your stomach drops. You know what this notification demands.
It requires a version of you that is composed, capable, and ready to perform the part of someone who has it all together. But the person sitting here right now is tired.
The mask feels heavy, glued to a face that wants to crumble. You stare at the glow, dreading the moment you have to pick it up and become who they need you to be.
— The light does not ask for your performance. It sees the exhaustion behind the eyes you show the world.
There is a peace that does not require you to summon energy you do not have. A peace that sits with you in the silence before you answer.
You do not have to fix the dread before you are loved. The version of you that is breaking is the one the light holds closest.
Close the eyes. Breathe.
The call can wait. The love cannot.
