the specific terror of opening an email or message because you are convinced it contains the proof that will expose your fraudulence

The Light Before The Click

The screen is the only light in the room, and your thumb hovers over the message you are certain will end everything. You are convinced that inside those words lies the proof—the undeniable evidence that you are a fraud, that you have fooled everyone, and that now the curtain is being pulled back.

In this hour, the darkness feels like a verdict. But listen.

The light does not need you to be perfect to stay with you. It does not require a clean record to remain inside you.

There is a love that came before you ever sent an email, before you ever built the mask, before you ever feared being found out. That love is not waiting for the bad news to arrive so it can leave.

It is already here, holding you in the silence before you click. You are not your performance.

You are not your reputation. You are the light itself, and no email, no exposure, no human verdict can extinguish what God placed inside you before you took your first breath.

The worst thing they could say is not the final word. The final word was spoken over you in the dark, long before this morning began: you are known, and you are loved, and you are home.
