You Are the Lamp Itself
The screen goes dark, and the silence rushes in to fill the space where your performance used to be. You feel the panic rise—the sudden, hollow terror that without an audience, you might not exist at all.
The middle of the day is hard because the distractions stop working, and you are left alone with the mask you've been wearing. But listen closely.
The light does not need you to be interesting. It does not need you to be useful, or funny, or strong.
When the phone is down and the room is quiet, the light is not disappointed by your stillness. It is finally able to reach you.
You are not a projection on a wall. You are the lamp itself.
The silence is not emptiness waiting to be filled. It is the only place where you can finally stop pretending and just be.
