You Do Not Need to Shrink
The screen goes dark after you hit send, and in that silence, the old story starts screaming that you are too much. Too heavy.
Too needy. The seconds stretch into minutes, and you are already rehearsing the apology for existing.
But the light does not measure your worth by the speed of a reply. It saw you before you spoke.
It knows the tremble in your thumb before the message was sent. There is a silence that is not rejection, but simply space.
The kingdom is not waiting for you to be smaller, quieter, easier to love. It is inside you right now, in the very chest that feels too full.
You do not need to shrink to fit into someone else's day. The light that lives in you is not a burden to be managed.
It is the thing that makes you real.
