The Light Within the Dark Reflection
The screen goes black, and suddenly you are staring at your own face in the dark glass. You have spent the morning scrolling through a shared life until the battery gave out, leaving you alone with the reflection of who you are now.
The mask you wore at work feels heavy today, like paper glued to skin that is still raw underneath. But notice — the light did not leave when the image faded.
It is the very thing allowing you to see your own eyes in the darkness. You do not need the photos to prove you were loved, or the screen to prove you are here.
The light shines from within you, independent of the pictures you keep trying to revive. Sit with the reflection.
The face looking back is not a ghost of the past, but the living vessel of a love that cannot die.
