Stop Pretending To Be Someone Else
The screen glows in the gathering dark, showing a face you barely recognize anymore. You have buried the real you under so many performances, so many masks worn to keep the peace, that the person staring back feels like a stranger.
You wonder if the true self is gone, lost beneath the layers of who you pretended to be. But the light does not need you to dig it out or earn its way back to the surface.
It has been waiting in the silence beneath the noise, untouched by the acting. You do not have to become someone new to be found.
You only have to stop pretending to be someone else. The mask was never the thing that made you lovable.
