The Light Loves Only Who You Are
The screen glows in the dark, a small rectangle holding the weight of your entire stomach. You sent the truth, or what you thought was the truth, and now you wait for the reply that will confirm they love a version of you that does not exist.
The nausea is real. The fear is physical.
But listen — the light does not love a mask. It never has.
There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world. If it does not shine, it is dark.
You are afraid the shine will make them leave. But the light inside you is the only thing that can actually be loved.
The version you built is already crumbling under the weight of its own performance. Let it go.
The one who sees in secret knows who you are before the message was sent, and that knowing is the only ground that will hold you when the reply comes.
