The Light Held You Before You Knew

The room is quiet now, but your mind is replaying the exact second your voice changed. That split moment when you realized you were already saying goodbye without knowing it.

You keep circling back to it, trying to find the place where you could have stopped the leaving. But listen — the light was there in that hesitation too.

It did not vanish because your voice cracked. It did not leave because you were unaware.

Jesus saw the father who brought his broken son and said, 'Son, your sins are forgiven,' before the man could even finish his request. The healing started before the explanation was complete.

Your unconscious goodbye was still heard. The light does not require you to know what you are doing to hold you.

It was already holding you while you spoke. The regret feels heavy tonight because you care, but the care itself is the light.

You are not defined by the moment you didn't understand. You are defined by the love that remained after the words were spoken.
