The Love Remains When You Say No
The request came in small, but the terror behind it is ancient. You are convinced that if you finally say 'no,' the mask will slip and they will see the fraud underneath.
They will turn away. The love will vanish.
But listen — there is a love that does not depend on your yes. There is a presence that knows your exhaustion better than you know it yourself.
You are not holding the world together by your compliance. You are not the glue.
The light that lives inside you was there before you ever said 'yes' to anyone, and it will be there after you finally set a boundary. It cannot be lost by a word of refusal.
It cannot be earned by a lifetime of nodding. You are not a fraud for being tired.
You are a human being who has forgotten that the root of your worth is not your output. Say the no.
Let the silence land. The love remains.
