The Light Sees Behind The Mask
The question hung in the air, simple and dangerous: are you okay? And in that exact second, you looked away.
You found something else to focus on — a stain on the table, a notification on your phone, anything but the eyes asking the truth. You smiled.
You said the word 'fine.' And the mask slipped back into place, seamless and suffocating. But the light sees what happens behind the performance.
It saw the flinch. It saw the moment you chose silence over being known.
There was a man born blind, and people asked whose sin caused it, looking for someone to blame. But the light said: no one sinned.
This happened so the works of God might be displayed. Your hesitation was not a failure.
It was the canvas. The very moment you looked away is the exact place where the light is waiting to be revealed.
You do not have to keep your eyes averted. The one who knows your hiding spot is not angry.
He is gentle. He is waiting for you to look up.
