The Light Sees Beneath The Mask
The question comes across the desk, casual and kind: 'Are you okay?' And before your mind can even check the inventory of your heart, your mouth has already answered: 'I'm fine.' It is a reflex now, a shield polished by years of use, smooth enough to slip past anyone's concern without letting them see the crack behind it. You wear the okayness like a uniform, but the light sees the person underneath the costume.
It sees the exhaustion of holding the pose, the weight of the silence you carry while everyone else moves on. There is a truth that lives in you, deeper than the performance, waiting to be acknowledged.
The light does not need you to be fine; it only asks that you be real. Behind the mask you show the world, there is a face that is already known, already loved, and entirely safe to reveal.
