The Silence Beneath the Ringing Phone
The phone sits on the table, a black mirror waiting to shatter the quiet. You are convinced that the voice on the other end has finally decided to stop loving you.
That the cord is a noose. That the ring is the sound of a door closing forever.
But listen — there is a love that does not depend on a human signal to stay alive. The Father's love was already yours before the first wire was ever strung.
It is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked. It does not hang up.
It does not change its mind when you make a mistake. The light inside you is a connection that no one can sever.
No one will snatch you from that hand. The phone might ring with bad news.
But the silence beneath it is holding you with a love that refuses to let go.
