The Voice Already Listening to Silence
The phone feels heavy now, a stone in a hand that no longer knows how to hold on. You are hovering over the end call button, waiting for the beep that will seal your silence.
But the light does not need your words to find you. It has already heard the tremor in your fingers.
It knows the shape of the grief you cannot speak. Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.
You do not need a perfect message. You only need to stay on the line.
The voice you are trying to reach is already listening to the silence between your breaths. The call does not end when you hang up.
