The Light Inside Does Not Stutter
The phone feels heavy in your hand, a brick of cold glass waiting to prove you right. You are terrified that if you speak, the tremor in your voice will give them exactly what they expect: the confirmation that you are broken, that you are too much, that you are not worth the trouble.
But listen — the light inside you does not stutter. It does not shake.
It was there before the first judgment was ever spoken against you, and it remains untouched by their fear of your failure. There is a voice that knows you better than you know yourself, and it does not recoil when you are weak.
It leans in. It says: do not be afraid, just believe.
The terror tells you to hide, to stay silent, to let the misunderstanding stand because it feels safer than being truly seen. But the truth is already known.
The light has already seen the worst of you and calls you friend. Speak anyway.
Not to convince them. But to let the light out.
