Your Needs Are the Signal Flare
The night is heaviest right now. You are holding your breath, convinced that your hunger for connection is a weight no one should have to carry.
You silence your own heart to protect the people you love from the mess of your needing. But listen — the light does not call your needs a burden.
It calls them the very place where it meets you. There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off.
He ran. Before the apology, before the speech — he ran.
Your needs are not driving the light away. They are the signal flare that draws it closer.
You were sent into this world as a drop from the light, not to be small, but to illuminate the dark. The one who is in you is greater than the fear that you are too much.
Stop apologizing for the space you take up. The light is not tired of you.
