The Light Sees You Behind The Mask
The night has a way of replaying the moments you tried to shrink yourself to fit the room. That laugh you forced when the joke landed flat.
The smile you wore like a mask while your soul stayed silent. You are reviewing the tape again, wondering why you traded your truth for a seat at the table.
But listen — the light does not demand a performance you cannot sustain. It saw you then, confused and reaching, and it sees you now, tired from the act.
There is a bruised reed it will not break, and a smoldering wick it will not snuff out. You do not have to earn your place by pretending to understand.
The light is already in the wood you split and the stone you lift. It was there in the awkward silence, waiting for you to stop performing and just be.
The gathering dark is not here to judge the mask you wore today. It is here to remind you that you are known, even when you are unsure.
