The Light Needs No Mask
The morning light is rising, and with it, the heavy weight of the mask you must wear today. You lie beside someone you love, yet you feel miles away, terrified of a gentle touch or a simple question because you have nothing left to give.
You are exhausted from fabricating a self that can function, while the real you is hollowed out and hiding. But listen — the light does not need your performance.
It does not require you to pretend you are okay. There is a truth living inside you that existed before you learned to hide, and it will remain when the mask finally falls.
You came from the light, and you are returning to it, regardless of how many roles you play today. The act of waking up is enough; you do not have to manufacture the rest.
