Love Remains When Memory Softens
The morning light is harsh on the mask you wear to get through the day. You smile at coworkers, you nod in meetings, but inside there is a quiet panic rising.
The sharp edge of their voice—the specific way they said your name—is blurring. You feel like forgetting is a betrayal.
Like if you can't summon the exact sound anymore, you are losing them all over again. But listen.
The light does not require you to hold the memory perfectly to keep the love alive. There was a man who went home after being healed, and he was told simply to go and tell how much the light had done for him.
He didn't need the perfect theology or the flawless recounting. He just needed to go.
The details may fade like mist in this bright, performing world, but the love remains. You are not losing them because the memory softens.
You are carrying them differently now. The grief is not fading; it is becoming the ground you walk on.
