No Condemnation For Your Silence
The morning light is harsh on the mask you wore to keep the peace. You stayed silent while they hurt you, terrified that your voice would make it worse, and now you feel guilty for the quiet.
But look at the one who stood before the accusers—he did not argue, he did not defend, he simply bent down and wrote in the dust until the noise stopped. When he finally looked up, he did not ask for your explanation of why you waited.
He saw the woman trembling behind him and said only: 'Neither do I condemn you.' The silence you kept was not a failure of courage; it was a shield you held until the storm passed. You do not have to apologize for surviving the night with your mouth closed.
The light does not demand a speech from you now that the sun is up. It just asks you to take off the mask and let your face be seen.
