Your Joy Is Not A Theft
The morning light hits your face and you feel guilty for warming up. You think that if you smile, you are stealing something from the one you hurt.
But the light does not ration itself based on your history. It shines on the evil and the good without asking permission.
Your joy is not a theft. It is a testimony that the darkness did not win.
The one who was wronged does not need your sorrow to validate their pain. They need to see that the light is strong enough to hold both the memory of the wound and the possibility of peace.
Go home. Tell them what the light has done.
Let your healing be the proof that mercy is real.
