Carried Into Rest By Light
The morning light hits the window and you feel it—the panic that sleeping through the night means you are finally letting them go. You wear the mask of being fine, smiling at the coffee machine while your heart accuses you of betrayal.
But rest is not a verdict. It is simply the body accepting the peace that was already there.
What you think is forgetting is actually the light holding you when you had no strength left to hold on. You did not choose to sleep; you were carried.
And when you wake, the love is not gone—it is waiting for you to bring it forth.
