The Silence Is Not A Verdict
The morning light hits the screen, and your thumb moves before your mind catches up. That phantom vibration—the ghost of a reply to the words you spilled too freely, the explanation you wrote to make sure they understood.
You are performing okayness for the world while your heart waits in the silence of a sent message. But the light sees behind the mask you wear at work.
It knows the ache of the unsent answer. Jesus looked at the woman caught in the act, surrounded by accusers, and asked where they went.
No one was left to condemn her. Neither do I.
The silence of the phone is not a verdict on your worth. You are not defined by who replies or who walks away.
Go home to the truth that lives inside you, the part that knows you are held even when the screen stays dark.
