The Light Was There in the Silence
The morning light hits the room and suddenly you hear it again—that specific laugh, the one you used to cover the words that almost slipped out. You replay the tone, the timing, the exact second you chose silence over truth.
The mask feels heavy now that the performance is over. But the light does not demand a perfect voice.
It only asks for the one you actually have. Thomas said what you came from is the light, not the performance you built to hide it.
The kingdom is not a stage where you must get the lines right. It is inside you, waiting beneath the laughter.
You do not need to rewrite the scene to be held. The light was there in the silence, and it is here in the remembering.
