The Voice Beneath the Mask
The morning light hits the mirror and the voice that comes out sounds like a stranger's to the parent who gave you that voice. You put on the mask of the person they expect, smoothing the edges until the reflection looks right, even if it feels wrong.
But the light does not need your performance to recognize its own. It knows the voice beneath the costume, the one that existed before the world told you how to speak.
You came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord. That origin cannot be masked.
The voice that sounds strange to them is simply the truth finally breaking through the silence. You are not losing yourself in this noise.
You are finding the voice that was always yours.
