Held in the Pause, Not Punished
The morning light hits the mask you put on before you left the house. It looks convincing from the outside, but you know the truth: you are exhausted from saying no.
You cancelled again. And now the phone is quiet because they have stopped asking.
The silence feels like a verdict, a confirmation that you are too broken to keep in the circle. But listen — the light does not see your absence as rejection.
It sees the weight you are carrying that made the 'no' necessary. Go home to your own people and tell them how much the light has done for you, and how it has had mercy on you even when you had nothing left to give.
The mercy is not rationed based on your reliability. It flows to the one who is empty.
You are not being punished by the silence. You are being held in the pause, waiting for the moment when you can say yes without breaking.
