The morning light catches the look in their eyes—that soft, careful pity you didn't ask for. You feel like a project they have to manage, a broken thing they are trying to fix.
But the light does not see a failure to be corrected. It sees the truth of who you are, beneath the shame you carry.
There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world. That light was there before the mistake, and it is there now, unchanged.
You do not have to earn their pride back to be whole. The kingdom is inside of you, not in their approval.
Bring forth what is within you, even if your hands shake. What you bring forth will save you.
