The Sun Rises On Its Own
The morning light catches the edges of the mask you wear to get through the day. You look at your child and feel a cold dread that they will inherit your specific brokenness, that your mistakes are a blueprint they cannot escape.
But the light sees what you cannot. It sees a seed growing in the dark, becoming something you do not yet understand.
Your fear says the cycle must repeat. The truth says the light is already inside them, waiting to break the pattern before it even starts.
You are not the source of their future; the light is. The night ends not because you fixed everything, but because the sun rises on its own.
