Laughter Is Not A Betrayal Of Grief
The morning demands a face you can wear in public. You laughed so hard just now that for one second, the grief slipped and you forgot their face.
And the shame hit you like a cold draft. But listen — the light does not demand you perform your sorrow to prove it is real.
Jesus stood at the tomb and wept, yet he also sat at tables where joy broke through the heavy air. He knows that laughter is not a betrayal; it is a breath.
The light inside you is not threatened by a moment of relief. It is not a fragile thing that shatters when you smile.
It is the same light that held him through the cross and the empty grave. Your joy does not erase them.
It only proves you are still alive enough to carry them.
