The Light Calls You Clean Anyway
The mirror shows you the marks, and your mind immediately rehearses the fight you didn't fight. It tells you that if you had just screamed louder, the story would be different.
But the light does not measure your worth by the violence you survived or the noise you made. You came from the light, a place where no mark can be written on you that wasn't already known.
The red on your skin is not a verdict of your failure; it is simply the place where the world tried to hide what you are. Neither do you need to condemn yourself for the silence that held you then.
The light sees the whole truth—the fear, the freeze, the survival—and it calls you clean anyway. Go now, not because you earned it, but because the marks do not define the origin.
