Love Is Not A Barrier To God
The middle of the day is when the mask feels heaviest, especially when the love in your heart does not match the rules of the room. You are told that to love this person is to turn away from the light, that your affection is a mistake.
But the light sees what the crowd cannot see. It sees the truth in your chest.
There was a woman who loved so deeply she was called a sinner by the whole town, yet the light let her wash his feet with her tears and said her faith had saved her. The light did not ask for her resume.
It did not ask her to stop loving before it would speak to her. It simply received her.
God is love, and whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. Your love for this person is not a barrier to the divine; it may be the very place where the divine is most alive in you.
The verdict of the community is loud, but it is not the final word. The light is quieter than the shouting, but it is stronger.
You are not loving in spite of God. You are loving because the source of all love is already inside you, flowing out toward the one you cannot help but hold.
