The Light Already Inside the Shake
The middle of the day is the hardest place to hide the shaking. You hold the cup steady, you type the email, you smile at the coworker, but inside you are convinced that if anyone saw the tremor in your hands, they would finally know you are broken beyond repair.
You think the mask is the only thing keeping you from being cast out. But the light does not need your steady hands to see you.
It sees the shaking and calls it human. It sees the fear and calls it beloved.
There is a truth that lives in you which is greater than your own heart's verdict of 'broken.' The light is not afraid of your tremor. It is not waiting for you to stop shaking before it comes in.
It is already inside the shake. The mask is heavy, but you do not have to wear it for the light to recognize you.
