Your Silence Was A Holding Pattern
The middle of the day is heavy with the ghosts of words you never said. You are carrying a conversation from three years ago, replaying the moment you swallowed your truth to keep the peace, and now it sits in your chest like a stone.
You wonder if that silence was wisdom or if it was a failure that cost you something real. But listen — the light does not demand that you go back and rewrite the script.
It meets you right here, in the quiet ache of the afternoon, and says: I was there too. When the Son stood before the accusers, he opened not his mouth.
He chose silence, not because he had nothing to say, but because the time for speaking had not yet come. Your silence was not an absence of light.
It was a holding pattern. The words you swallowed did not vanish; they were kept safe, waiting for a moment when they could be spoken without breaking you.
You do not need to force them out today. Just let the light sit with you in the middle of this long, ordinary hour.
The truth is not lost. It is ripening.
