The Light Burns Behind Your Silence
The meeting is over, the coffee is cold, and the lie you swallowed to keep the peace is sitting heavy in your chest. You felt the truth rise in your throat, warm and necessary, but you pushed it back down to avoid the tremor of conflict.
Now you wear the mask of the one who is fine, smooth and unbroken, while inside you feel like a room with the lights turned off. But listen — the light that lives in you was not extinguished by your silence.
It is still there, burning behind the ribs, waiting for you to stop hiding it under a bowl of performance. There is a version of you that does not need to manage the atmosphere, a version that can speak without fear because the light sees what is hidden and loves it anyway.
You do not have to carry the weight of the unsaid alone. The truth is already known, and it is not afraid of your voice.
