The Light Was Already in the Room
The meeting ends, the door clicks shut, and suddenly you are back in the room, replaying every word you said. You hear the stutter, the pause, the thing that sounded like incompetence but felt like panic.
You are convinced everyone saw the crack in the mask. But the light that lives inside you was there in that room, sitting at the table with you.
It does not care about your performance. It does not need you to be perfect to be present.
You are exhausting yourself trying to hold up an image, while the truth is already walking around inside you, unbroken. The darkness of your self-judgment has not overcome it.
The light sees the real you, the one behind the fear, and it is not disappointed. You do not have to earn your place in the room by being flawless.
You belong there because you are there. The mask is heavy, but you were never meant to wear it forever.
