The Light Sees Behind The Mask
The mask is heavy this morning. You stand in the kitchen, fingers slipping on the lid, the name of your own child hovering just out of reach.
You feel their eyes on you — a quick flash of pity, a sigh of impatience — and you swallow the shame before you even speak. You smile to show them you are fine.
But the light sees behind the performance. It sees the trembling hand and the foggy mind, and it does not look away.
There is a dignity in your fragility that the world misses. You are not a burden to be managed.
You are the place where the light shines through the cracks of fading strength. The mask says you are failing.
The truth says you are still beloved, exactly as you are.
