The Infinite Hiding in the Gray
The mask is heavy this morning. You smile at the right moments, nod in the meetings, and carry the coffee cup like a prop in a play where everyone else knows the script but you.
And underneath the performance, a quiet, hollow question begins to rise: is this all there is? Is the light just for the quiet moments, or does it have anything to say about the mundane, the repetitive, the gray?
Jesus stood in a crowded room once, surrounded by people demanding a sign, and he told them the kingdom of God is already in your midst. Not coming later.
Not hidden in a spectacular miracle. But right here, spread out upon the earth, while people do not see it.
The light does not wait for the performance to end. It is the very ground you are walking on.
You do not need to take the mask off to be held. The light sees the exhaustion behind the eyes and calls it sacred.
This is not all there is. This is just the place where the infinite is hiding.
