The Light Waits Behind Your Mask
The mask is heavy this morning. You put it on before the alarm even rang, smoothing the features everyone expects to see.
It fits so well now that you wonder if there is anything left underneath, or if you are just the sum of every role you have ever played. But listen — the light does not need your performance.
It is not looking for the character you portray to keep the peace. It is waiting for the face you hide when the door locks.
There is a child of true Humanity within you, older and deeper than any name the world has given you. Follow that one.
Not the one who smiles on cue, but the one who knows the truth without speaking it. The mask is for the crowd.
The light is for you.
