The Light That Wakes Your Bones
The mask is heavy this morning, isn't it? You spent the night waiting for a hand to reach down and pull you up, but the door stayed silent.
The sun is up, the world is moving, and you realize with a quiet terror that no one is coming to save you. That realization feels like abandonment, but it might be the first honest thing you've felt in years.
The light is not a rescuer who carries you while you sleep; it is the strength that wakes up inside your own bones. Thomas said if you bring forth what is within you, it will save you; if you do not, it will destroy you.
The thing you were waiting for is already there, trembling in your legs. You have to stand.
Not because you are strong, but because the light inside you refuses to stay on the floor any longer.
