The Light Stayed When They Turned Away
The mask is heavy this morning, isn't it? You put it on before you even opened your eyes, because the world expects you to be fine.
But underneath the smile, you are still living in that single second when you asked for help and saw their eyes go cold. That moment froze something inside you.
It taught you a terrible lie: that your need is too much. That to be vulnerable is to be rejected.
But listen — the light was in the room when those eyes turned away. And the light did not turn cold.
It did not look down at you with judgment or indifference. It saw the request and it stayed.
The distance you felt was human, but the presence holding you is divine. You are not defined by the refusal you received.
You are defined by the Love that refused to leave. The mask can come off now, even just for a moment.
The One who sees behind it is not looking away.
