The Light Sees You Without Flinching

The afternoon stretches out, a long gray corridor where you keep replaying that single second—the flicker in a colleague's eyes when you walked in. You are convinced they saw the crack in the mask, the performance of okayness that you hold up like a shield.

The middle of the day is the hardest place to carry a secret; it is where the exhaustion of pretending feels heaviest. You analyze the micro-expression until it becomes a verdict, until you are certain you have been found out.

But the light that lives inside you does not need you to be flawless to be present. It does not require the mask to stay on.

In fact, the light is the only thing in that room that sees the truth without flinching. You are not a fraud because you are hurting; you are a human being walking through the fire, and the fire knows your name.

The expression you saw was likely just the reflection of your own fear, not a judgment from the outside. The light is not hiding behind your eyes; it is shining through the tiredness, through the pretense, through the very thing you think disqualifies you.

You do not have to fix the face you made. You do not have to go back and explain.

The One who sees everything already knows, and He is not disappointed. He is simply with you, right here in the cubicle, right here in the ache.

The performance is for them. The reality is for Him.

And the reality is enough.
