The Light Sees Behind Your Mask
The mask is heavy this morning, isn't it? You walk through the day smiling, nodding, performing the role of someone who has it all together, while inside you are terrified that this breath might be your last.
You carry the fear of dying like a stone in your pocket, hidden beneath the costume of normalcy. But the light sees behind the performance — it sees the trembling hand and the racing heart.
Jesus stood at the door of death himself, overwhelmed with sorrow, and he did not pretend the end wasn't terrifying. He wept.
He knows the weight of that final step. Yet he also said: I am the resurrection and the life.
The one who believes in me will live, even though they die. This is not a promise that you will never face the grave, but that the grave cannot hold you.
The light has already walked through the darkness you fear most and found it empty. You do not have to be brave today.
You just have to be honest. Behind the mask, you are already held by the one who conquered the end.
