You Are Held, Not Used
The mask is heavy this morning, isn't it? You walk into the room and feel your worth tethered to what you can do for everyone else.
As if the moment you stop being useful, you stop being loved. But there is a voice that speaks before you ever lift a finger.
It says: I will never drive you away. Not when you are productive.
Not when you are empty. The light does not need your output to stay lit.
You are not a tool to be used and set aside. You are a child to be held.
The terror says you must earn your place. The truth says you were chosen before you did a single thing.
Your value is not something you carry; it is something you are.
