You Did Not Lose the Light
The mask is heavy this morning, holding its shape while your mind replays the exact second the light went out in their eyes. You are walking through the day performing okayness, but inside you are stuck in that frozen moment, trying to find the mistake that made them stop loving you.
But listen — the love that left was human, and human love is fragile, conditional, and often blind to the treasure it holds. It does not define the worth of the one who was left.
There is a love that does not depend on your performance or their attention, a love that was already inside you before that moment happened and remains untouched by their departure. The Father's love is not a reaction to your behavior; it is the ground you stand on.
You did not lose the light when they walked away; you only lost the reflection they used to provide. You are still that light, walking through the morning, even if no one else sees it yet.
