The Light Sees Your Empty Pantry
The mask is heavy this morning, especially when small hands tug at your sleeve and ask for something you cannot give. You stand in the kitchen, smiling through the panic, hiding the empty cupboards behind your own body.
You think you are failing because you have nothing to offer but silence and a lie. But the light sees what is hidden in the dark, and it does not turn away from your empty pantry.
It sees the love that is breaking your heart right now. There was a man born blind, and people asked whose sin caused it, looking for someone to blame.
The light said: no one sinned. This is not your failure.
This is the place where the work of God will be shown. You are not alone in the kitchen.
The light is standing right beside you, seeing the tears you are swallowing, and it calls your effort enough.
