The Crack Where the Light Gets Out
The mask fits so well this morning that you almost forget it's there—until someone asks the one question you weren't ready for. 'How are you really?' And in that split second, the voice cracks.
The performance breaks. You feel exposed, like the ground has opened beneath your feet.
But listen: the crack is not a failure. It is the place where the light gets out.
Thomas said if you bring forth what is within you, it will save you. That crack in your voice?
That is the bringing forth. That is the salvation starting.
The light does not need your perfect composure. It needs your honest tremble.
In the secret place where no one sees but God, the truth is already spoken—and it is enough.
