You Are Not The Burden, You Are The Beloved
The mask fits so well this morning that even you are starting to believe it. You move through the day nodding, smiling, performing the role of someone who is fine, while inside you carry a quiet, crushing fear: that your very presence is a weight others must bear.
You worry that if they knew the truth, they would wish you had stayed away. But there is a Father who saw you coming from a long way off.
He did not calculate the cost of your return. He did not weigh your burden against his strength.
He ran. Before you could apologize, before you could promise to be lighter, he was already there with his arms open.
Your existence is not a tax on those who love you. You are not a problem to be managed or a shadow to be endured.
The light that lives inside you is not heavy—it is the only thing that makes the room bright enough to see. You are not the burden; you are the beloved.
