Silence Is Not The Glue
The mask feels heavy this morning, doesn't it? You walk into the room smiling, performing okayness, while inside you are terrified that speaking the unsaid thing will finally confirm their resentment and break everything.
You think silence is the glue holding you together. It is not.
Silence is just the distance growing wider while you both pretend it isn't. There was a woman caught in the middle of a crowd ready to destroy her, and the light did not add to her shame — it bent down and wrote in the dust until the accusers left.
The truth did not break her; the truth set her free. You are afraid the light will expose you and end the relationship.
But the light that lives inside you is not a weapon — it is the only thing strong enough to hold the weight of what is real. Speak the thing.
Not to fix it, but to stop pretending it isn't there.
